2. Overview

This website sets no cookies, uses no tracking or analytics and stores nothing in your browser (no localStorage). Fonts are served from this site. GitHub data is fetched only when the site is built; your browser never connects to GitHub. Links to LinkedIn and GitHub are plain links.

3. Hosting and server logs

The website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA) on Cloudflare Pages. When you visit, technically necessary data is processed (IP address, time, requested URL, browser, referrer) to deliver the site securely and reliably. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. A data processing agreement is in place with Cloudflare; transfers to the USA are based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.

4. Contact form

If you use the contact form, your first name, last name, email address, selected topics and message are sent as an email to my mailbox by a function at Cloudflare (see section 3) so I can answer your enquiry. They are not stored on the website or at Cloudflare; to prevent abuse, your IP address is processed briefly to limit the number of requests. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or (f) (legitimate interest in answering enquiries). For storage in my mailbox, see section 5.

5. Email

My mailbox is operated by Proton AG (Switzerland), which has an EU adequacy decision. Enquiries are deleted once they are dealt with and no statutory retention obligations apply, at the latest after 12 months.

6. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object (Art. 21 GDPR). You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), e.g.: Der Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Rheinland-Pfalz, Hintere Bleiche 34, 55116 Mainz.

7. Other

No automated decision-making takes place. The connection to this website is encrypted with TLS.
